Jack takes pride in his ability to connect with all types of people and personalities, which has fostered his capacity to cultivate and maintain strong, long-standing relationships across this dynamic industry. He believes firmly in building a culture of mutual respect in his dealings with insurance professionals and does not limit the range of his network to a select number of brokers and other industry professionals. Because these relationships are firmly grounded in mutual respect, Jack is able to negotiate more effectively for enhanced policy language, which, in the long–term, pays off for his clients and advances their interests.

Widely Known, Well Regarded.

Having earned a stellar reputation as a high-level insurance expert, Jack has published numerous articles and blog posts, is the author of the highly acclaimed “Insurance tip of the day” on LinkedIn and has spoken before a wide range of audiences at a variety of venues. He also developed an on-boarding training course at the largest privately owned insurance agency exclusively dedicated to social service and nonprofits, in which he authored all the education material and lectured all the sessions.


Nonetheless, Jack does not rest on his accomplishments. He continues to expand his knowledge by attending insurance and legal conferences, taking education courses and obtaining additional insurance designations. All of this helps him stay abreast of the industry’s ever-evolving trends, regulations and developments, which enhances his facility in serving clients.

Rich and Diverse Background.

Jack earned a law degree at Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, served as in-house counsel for an insurance broker, and in-house insurance specialist at a New York City law firm. This training and experience as a lawyer sharpened his critical thinking and analytic skills. It also augments his ability to negotiate contracts, identify flaws, and help ensure compliance to contracts. Additionally, his legal background helps clients envisage and avoid obstacles that would slow the growth of their business.
Jack started his career by providing outsourced risk management consulting to companies and then pivoted to offer consulting services on the insurance broker side. There he gained firsthand experience in the day-to-day operations of agencies, including production, marketing, claims handling, account management and everything in between. In this role, he attained important insight into broker relationships with insurance carriers, wholesale agents and managing general agents, as well as the nature of their relationships with their clients and their overall handling of client accounts.


Upon his return to the consulting side, Jack provided outsourced insurance consulting to the real estate sector, including property managers, owners and developers. He helped manage the insurance for large construction and development projects in New York City, as well as placement and maintenance of policies for stabilized assets throughout the United States. 
Most recently, in multiple roles for a New York City based full-service law firm, Jack provided insurance expertise to colleagues as well as their clients on all matters related to insurance and spearheaded and managed the launch, operation, and growth of the firm’s very own subsidiary insurance consultancy. In his role as managing director, Jack grew the consultancy and advised clients in a host of industries including advertising, education, financial services, manufacturing, medical services, public relations, real estate, retail, and technology startups.

Over his career, Jack has reviewed over a thousand policies – and he enjoys the challenges inherent in policy review. He gains satisfaction in scouring every phrase and every sentence to uncover the issues, exclusions, restrictions and other factors that will help his clients see if something is missing or deficient in their policy in order that, together, he and his clients can improve it. He believes in the importance of the granular details.

Staying Personally Involved.

When clients hire Jack, they know they get him; he does not hand off their matters to a junior consultant. Jack does his own work and gets heavily involved with all his accounts because he believes clients deserve both his experienced analysis and working knowledge of their business.
